Painting has become my passion over the years and not unlike life, it has it's challenges and rewards. It has become my passage to serenity, my voice and my career.
My subjects are mostly found in nature. I have always been fascinated with the amazing colors and textures that surround us. In such a fast paced world, sometimes it’s easy to forget to look, I mean really look! I have found a wonderful peace within, when I slow down long enough to really see the beauty of nature… Then to try and capture it on canvas takes me to an even deeper level of trust... Sort of like life, I guess!
Each leaf, each petal having it’s own story, a map of it’s journey… My paintings are a reflection of these stories and the beauty that lies deep within. I am also very drawn towards faces and the human figure and how harmoniously they can co-exist with nature.
I would best describe my style as being playfully sophisticated.
